It’s Day 2 of TIFF and we’re in full party, editing, and tired mode. Attending parties, interviewing people, trying to get all the hottest parties covered is very exhausting. Then we have to go back to the office and edit… keeping in mind View the Vibe is still in year 2 therefore with limited hands to help out! However, that doesn’t mean we don’t love every minute of it especially getting out there and meeting very cool and interesting people. Esther Garnick, founder of EGPR, is the mastermind behind the “Essentials Lounge”, a place for all the hard-working media, camera people, photographers and assistants to get pampered and stay refreshed throughout TIFF. Ummmm… what a great idea! Sam, my bubbly British best friend who is also a beautiful actress, has joined View the Vibe for the next 10 days to help cover the red carpets, parties and behind the scenes action of TIFF 2012. Obviously I had to take her to the Essentials Lounge to get ready for the coming chaos!
Hosted at Le Germain Hotel at Maple Leaf Square, we entered a beautiful oasis of all things zen and pampering. I got my lashes done by the Winks Boutique, Sam got her hair done, we experienced the amazing benefits of “Benefits” Make-Up (which is fab by the way), we munched on some healthy and delicious Gourmet Bitches nosh and we met some fabulous people. Medias were zipping in and out to get touch ups and the vibe in there was both zen and hectic – hard to get away from that during TIFF! Best part of the whole hour of pampering was the bag they gifted us with; literally everything you need to stay alert, beautiful, hydrated and healthy during the TIFF madness. I’ve already used the “Advanced Cellular Age Defense” eye pads… 5 hours of sleep per night does nothing good to the eyes! Other items included Smart Water, John Frieda products to keep the hair in place, Benefits make-up to help the face look bright and even a juice cleanse for the days after TIFF. Love, love, love.
