    How the comedy festival works?

Just For Laughs (JFL) Toronto Comedy Festival is an interactive festival featuring headlining acts & hundreds of the funniest performers over 10 days. At the heart of the Just for Laughs Toronto Comedy Festival is their festival app & passes.

As a pass purchaser, you unlock Super-Comedy-Fan status and get credits to see shows. The best part? Every time you use a credit for a show, you get another – FREE!

    Step 1: Buy a pass

Choose the pass that’s right for you! They’ve got passes that come with or without a headliner show PLUS credits that you can use to reserve to the other amazing shows and ComedyCON events. Tickets to individual events also available.

    Step 2: Reserve

As soon as you activate your pass, your credits appear… Log in and use your credits to reserve to whichever of the other artists & shows you want to see. One credit = one guaranteed seat to one of the 42+ acts or ComedyCON events!

    Step 3: Scan your barcode

When you arrive at the venue, pull up your barcode on the app and have it scanned at the door.

    Step 4: Credits back

Once your barcode has been scanned, the credit you used to reserve to that show will be put back in your account. So you need to attend the show you reserved to receive the credit back towards the next one. How many shows do you think YOU can you see in 10-days?

    Get your pass today!

What is the 411 on THE 42?

The 42 is the heart of the festival. It has a bit of everything that makes Just For Laughs Toronto different, spread out across more than 15 venues across Toronto. Want to discover someone new? Want to see one of your favourites perform at one of Toronto’s premier venues? An intimate late-night show, perhaps? The 42’s got it. Maybe even try to use the same credit to do all the above.

    The 42 schedule + talent*

See here for the full line up of events. There’s a lot to choose from.

    *Subject to change without notice.

Please note: Each JFL Toronto Comedy Festival passholder must have their own pass if they want to see any of ‘the 42 acts’ using credits. Passholders can only use their credits to reserve spots for themselves at any given show – no sharing credits between buddies, spouses or family members. If you purchase more than one pass, make sure to transfer the additional pass(es) so they can use their credits as well. You will only able to access ONE pass per user. You can purchase more than one pass at a time, but you must transfer the additional passes to other people. If you wish to add an additional headliner or credit to your pass, you can do so at a discounted price AFTER you have purchased your pass. If you check into the show one hour before to one hour after showtime, the credit you used to reserve your spot to the show gets returned to your account. Use it to reserve to another show!
