The RAD party returns in July with RAD: Liberty—a joyous, life-affirming celebration of Black culture in Canada. Bursting with bright colours and vibrant sounds, this after-hours event includes a Caribana-inspired dance workshop, live DJs, and a performance by Ron Nelson, the godfather of Toronto hip-hop. Plus, visitors will have access to all our exhibitions.

ROM After Dark is a monthly adult (19+) event series that features curated music, visual arts, performances, and distinctive food and drink.

• Ron Nelson: The legendary Toronto DJ and music promoter will be spinning a seamless mix of hip-hop, reggae, funk, and more
• Odario: Host of CBC radio’s Afterdark and self-described “cocoa love bug,” Odario makes hip-hop as rich as shea butter
• SugaCayne: A troupe of models in gorgeous Carnival costumes
• DJ Flip – The Vibes Machine: Spinning Soca and reggaeton, Flip has earned their reputation as a party starter—and vibes machine
• Omega Mighty: A Toronto singer-songwriter, whose singular brand of electro-dancehall is bound to light up the dancefloor
• Carnival Dance Moves Workshop: Learn how to dance—Caribana-style—from semi-finalists in the 2021 International Soca Dance Championships
• Plus, enjoy steelpan drumming from Winston “Pappy” Frederick, music from DJ Martina Bósèdé, and live performances via the Blackhurst Cultural Centre.
