It used to be that reunions were the only time you’d see your extended family, but with the opening of Extended F’Amelia, you can now catch your ‘kin’ three nights a week…
Extended F’Amelia is just that, an extension of Cabbagetown Italian favourite F’Amelia. The new space, which opened this past weekend next to the original restaurant, is a Thursday-through-Saturday wine and tapas bar that will have a small wine list (about 15 bottles), and share plates for the under-famished overly social diners of the city.

While we’re starting to get a li’l tired of the tapas trend, we’re nevertheless excited for F’Amelia’s new endeavour for a few reasons. First, the original F’Amelia effin’ rocks. Second, the food is still being overseen by Chef James Harrison. Third, as opposed to being a satellite space in say, Parkdale, Extended F’Amelia is simply extending the culinary offerings in Cabbagetown, whose gentrification has started to take a back seat to other, more bustling ‘hoods in the city. The point? You’ll see us there this Thursday.
