The city is celebrating Ramadan with its annual Fast in the 6 event. The event invites visitors to commemorate their message of diversity, unity and prosperity. The event makes its return after two years of cancellations because of the pandemic. It’s taking place at Nathan Phillips Square and will feature food, live music and even fireworks. Fast in the 6
Fast in the 6 invites visitors and Torontonians to share a meal. The event is taking place on April 14, starting at 7 pm, with the entertainment portion of the evening beginning at 8 pm. Since the event is taking place at the time of breaking fast, there will be free halal meals handed out, courtesy of Maple Lodge Farms, Zabiha Halal and Sobeys/FreshCo. Visitors can check out the food trucks on-site as well.

Among the artists performing live at Fast in the 6 is Juno-nominated, Somali-born, Toronto-raised R&B singer Amaal and rapper and songwriter Raz Hyder. More information on the entertainment lineup will be announced soon and you can check out the website.
