This past weekend, Oct. 20th-23rd, marked the celebration of the first annual Food Network Delicious Food Show at the Better Living Centre – and while it was year 1 and they were still sorting out some red tape, they did an AWESOME job. A cross between being at bar, restaurant and nightclub, every emotion was sought after and achieved. The décor was over the top, colorful and welcoming. The energy was vibrant and everyone was having a blast with all the yummy food and booze flowing. Showcased restaurants included La Societe, Brassaii, Oyster Boy, St. Phillips, Morocco Chocolate, as well as smaller suppliers that, as attendees, we were thrilled to discover.
I was lucky enough to attend opening night with Stella Yu – www.FoodJunkieChronicles.com – as well as go back to spend some one on one time with the show’s VIP Host and organizer, Mike Chalut (ya, that amazingly charming guy that we all listen to on Proud FM…J). Just for the record, any man who offers me wine within 5 minutes of meeting is a star in my books!
