FoodShare‘s fifth annual charity event, Recipe for Change, is set to take place on Thursday, February 27th, with highly anticipated success alongside a delectable feast by some of Toronto’s best restaurants. Taking place in the St. Lawrence North Market, the event targets food literacy and food health in schools; engaging the students in the event and getting them involved in a variety of advantageous ways truly helps the cause. Last year’s event was a huge success raising a ton of money that went directly to the FoodShare literacy program.
Recipe for Change integrates the students with an exciting roster of highly respected chefs, winemakers, artisans and producers to put together an irresistible array of dishes. This year, like last year, we can expect an enticing array of cuisines from over 30 chefs, including Steve Gonzalez of Valdez, John Sinopoli of Table 17 & Ascari Enoteca as well as Mr. Fidel Gastro himself, Matt Basile. Guests can also sample 20 VQA wines including Chateau de Charmes, Henry of Pelham and Rosewood Estates as well as six local beers, organic coffee and tea.
