When and why did you start writing about food?
I started to blog in the fall of 2009. It was natural for me to write about food as I was a food sales rep, loved trying new restaurants, and enjoyed cooking at home, too. My only regret is that my blog name is Mom Who Runs… and it should be Mom Who Eats.
What do you love most about food?
The diversity of food, it still amazes me all the time!
What do you do when you aren’t writing about or eating food?
Good question! I’m READING about food or other food blogs, the Grid, BlogTO, Toronto Life, etc.

Do you cook? If so, what’s your speciality? If not, why?
I love making salads. Again, back to the diversity thing, you can add a different salad dressing or interesting nuts and make the salad totally different every time.
What’s your favourite type of food(s) and where do you go to get it?
I’ve always been a fan of Ichiban Sushi on Spring Garden Gate. Something about sushi appeals to me; however, Mother Dumplings is another favourite of mine.
What’s your hidden gem?
Have you ever heard of Dr. Laffa? It’s a hidden gem but it’s oh-so-popular and for a good reason: It’s absolutely amazing!
What’s your go-to restaurant?
That’s a no brainer, as I said, Dr. Laffa…
What’s the most memorable meal you’ve ever had?
Charlie Trotters in Chicago back in the early 1990s.

What’s the one restaurant you have to try before you die?
I like to eat my way through cities and I certainly want to eat my way through Italy and Barcelona before I die.
What’s your biggest restaurant pet peeve? (play nice)
Restaurants that don’t have a twitter handle or they do have a twitter handle but none of the wait-staff know what it is. That drives me crazy, take point restauranteurs!
