If you weren’t aware, Anna Wintour’s famous Met Gala took place on Monday, May 5th at the Metropolitan Museum in New York City. The Met Gala is the fashion party of the year. Filled with only A-listers and the fashion world’s most famous movers and shakers, the gala was packed with incredible gowns and fantastic beauty looks. Some memorable red carpets looks go to Rihanna, Emma Stone, Blake Lively, and a few others, but one of our favourite red carpet looks from the evening has to be from our fellow Canuck, Rachel McAdams.
Not only was her straight-off-the-runway Ralph Lauren dress a beauty, but her hair was ridiculously flawless; it was styled by the ever-so talented Ben Skervin using products from Vidal Sassoon. We got the scoop on how Rachel got her Charles James era-inspired mane so that you can try it too!

Red Carpet Look: Young, Fresh and Polished
1 First, prep damp hair with Vidal Sassoon Pro Series Boost & Lift Foaming Air Mousse, applying it throughout the hair for weightless bounce and a light hold. Then blow dry the hair while brushing it out with a round comb.
2 Separate the hair into six sections, with four sections in the back and one section on each side of the front. Proceed to set each section on a large heated roller, while spritzing each section with Vidal Sassoon Pro Series Flexible Hold Hairspray. Leave the rollers in for about 10-15 minutes.
3 Once the rollers have cooled down, brush each section out with a round comb.
4 To finish, spray Vidal Sassoon Pro Series ColorFinity Dry Shampoo in Rich Darks liberally on the roots and the ends of the hair to help break up the texture and give it a bed-head-like yet glamorous feel.
