Some of the best grilled cheese restaurants in Toronto will participate in the event including: Crème Fraiche, Melt Grilled Cheese, Cheesewerks, Gorilla Cheese, Cut the Cheese, Artisano Bakery Café and many more incredible vendors. With a high caliber of exhibitors coming to the Grilled Cheese Fest, you can expect your grilled cheese sandwiches to be out of this world.
Not only are these vendors serious about their cheese, they also back their sandwiches with the finest ingredients. We love the fact that Crème Fraiche is passionate about sustainability and supports only local Ontario farmers and artisans. Melt Grilled Cheese only uses fresh ingredients, which means you can be sure you won’t be eating frozen foods or processed cheese! Cheesewerks is one of the only restaurants in Canada that is dedicated solely to cheeses so you know your grilled cheese will be one heck of a sandwich.

Our sources tell us that Cheesewerks will be featuring their number one bestseller at the festival: the Beijing Grilled Cheese. This beast of a grilled cheese stars Chinese BBQ pork, slivered green onions, Hoisin, Asiago and Balderson Aged Chedder (the perfect cheesy duo), all served on an Onion Sourdough. Along with this bestseller, Cheesewerks will also feature their famous Cheddar + Ale Soup made with local aged Jensen Cheddar (from 100% Canadian cows milk from the Dairy Farmers of Canada), craft ale, carrots, onions, celery, garlic and fresh cream. There’s nothing like a fantastic soup to go with a great grilled cheese. Also, our same sources are reporting a TOP SECRET grilled cheese will be making its debut at Grilled Cheese Fest. Shhh!
“As Canada’s only restaurant dedicated solely to cheese, we were thrilled to be asked to join [Grilled Cheese Fest]. The Fest is destined to be the SuperBowl of the Grilled Cheese community in the GTA. It’s going to be a great night to connect with our fellow cheesy brethren and showcase what we all do so well,” says Cheesewerks’ “Big Cheese”, Kevin Durkee.
From craft beers to mouth-watering sandwiches and soups, the Grilled Cheese Fest is one event not to miss.
