One part trade show. One part summer soiree. Equal parts entertaining and inventive. It’s been the talk of the town and it’s coming up fast. Toronto’s first Modern Man: Official Event for Men is a night you don’t want to miss. (Ladies, we’re talking to you too!) Being held at 99 Sudbury on Friday, July 11th, the evening promises the best in style, food, cocktails, cigars, music, poker, and most of all, swag. Interested? So what can guests expect to see, eat and drink? Why don’t we start with the food since, really, that is what View the Vibe does best! Some of the city’s favourite restaurants have come on board to fill your bellies with some delish eats. Given that we love all food as much as fat kids love cake, we put together a nice selection for the evening. From Lou Dawgs’ southern specialties to Trattoria Nervosa’s famous kale salad (ya, it’s the same as the one from Gusto 101), to special offerings from The Good Son (one of our favourite new Toronto restaurants), foodies will rejoice and be sure to have full tummies all night long. Apart from the aforementioned, we also have delicious treats from Cheesewerks, The Beverley Hotel, Comfort to Raw, El Caballito, Ganzi and more. In terms of cocktails, prepare to be wowed sampling some manly brown liquors, summer drinks and South American wines. If sample sizes don’t do it for you though, a full service cash bar will be open all night long.
So now that you know you’ll be full and slightly tipsy, let’s talk about everything there is to see – or rather, what isn’t there to see? From some of the hottest new fashion brands showcasing their goods, to a special performance by the beat-box champ himself, KRNFX (see him in action in the video below), the evening will also feature a cigar lounge, poker tables, live music, and awesome DJs. The event organizers curated the evening for the quintessential man who likes the finer things in life. Fashion nomads like Baffi Collection, Surmesur, and LD West join the likes of Bang & Olufsen and Tesla Motors to both sell and showcase their wares. Need a haircut? You can do that, too, in the Mankind Grooming lounge.
Ladies, while this is curated for the modern man, modern women are welcome too! Looking to find a man? This is the place to do it!
