Two years and counting…
January 24th, 2011 was the very stressful day View the Vibe went live. Two years later, the site has completely changed – for the better – and we are about to launch the same site for spas, a mobile app next month, and we may have a surprise for the West Coast sooner rather than later. It’s been a busy couple of years to say the least, but every day we learn more, offer better services, and develop stronger strategies to maximize exposure of our “movie trailer style” videos.
I have to say that I am proud when I look around at our 5-person office and the team of videographers who have joined me in my quest to make View the Vibe the “best of a city” go-to video guide. While all have and still play their roles in the company, I have to highlight our digital director, Adam Mazerall, without whom the site would not be where it is at this point. Sadly, I was misadvised and overcharged by the original company I hired to create the site, which caused delays on business growth on so many levels. Mr. Mazerall helped me in getting the site to where it should have been from the beginning, and I’m happy to say that today, we are well on our way with stronger numbers, happier clients, and a product and service that I am proud to say is unique to View the Vibe. To all new business owners, if you’re not savvy in an area of your business (in my case web development/SEO), don’t trust the big guns to advise you… chances are they’ll take you for a ride. Do the research and ask people you trust before you hand over that cheque!

Goals for 2013 are in place and I’m very excited to get started. First, next week you can expect to visit the spa version of View the Vibe – won’t it be nice to see a preview of the vibe of a spa before getting in your car and going? Then our mobile app is in progress, which will make it easier for all of us to view a restaurant or spa vibe from our phones. And lastly, I am headed to the West Coast to explore the culinary world there and start filming some vibe videos for those easy-going folk. It’s gonna be a busy one!
That said, it’s been two years, and I’m not bored one bit. Rather, I am eager to see what the future of video marketing brings. After all, statistics report that by 2016, 86% of online content will be video – so if you haven’t joined the video train, get on it cause it’s going full speed ahead!
Thanks to everyone who has supported View the Vibe over the last couple of years – the kind words have definitely helped us keep forging ahead. Cheers!
xoxo,
Nicki
