Toronto’s top personalities, influencers, and socialites alike came together this past sunny Sunday afternoon to celebrate the 155th Annual Queen’s Plate at Woodbine Racetrack.
Many of the notable attendees spent most of their afternoon air-kissing, flute-guzzling, and people-watching in the invite-only Flare VIP lounge. The lads were decked out in bow-ties, button-ups, straw hats and suspenders, and we even caught a gent who completed his look with a pair of vintage-binoculars around his neck. The ladies were clad in the most outrageous of fascinators, sky-high stilettos, and donned drool-worthy dresses in bold colours and elegant patterns.

The Flare VIP lounge was placed in an all-white tent and featured a Cheeky Monkey Cosmetics nail station for manis, a Pixii hair station to get your hair professionally styled, Milk Glass making fancy fascinators on-site, and a playful photo-booth complete with ponies on a stick for those who looked to pretend to ride while taking fun pics. Guests danced along to the tunes DJ Diego Armand was spinning as they nibbled at shrimp cocktails and other summertime apps.
As the day rolled to a close, guests placed their bets on which horse would win the much-anticipated race, and made their way to the Grandstand seating for the Queen’s Plate race. The energy was infectious as fellas and femmes filled the stands, popcorn in hand, in anticipation of the race, which came and went in but a New York minute.
The afternoon was one of fashion and Instagram selfies alike, and ended with many hopping back on a bus limo – coordinated by Backseat Stylers – clenching water bottles, ready to call it a day. And a memorable one at that…
