On Saturday night we attended the Hello! Magazine annual TIFF party at the Ritz Carlton Hotel. While Sam and her videographer in crime Terrence hit up the red carpet to interview some of the many celebs attending, I was inside with my good friend Desia, owner of Brill Communications (a top fashion PR firm in Toronto). First off, the location was stunning and perfect – unlike most other TIFF parties, nobody was cramped, the temperature was neither too cold nor too hot and drinks were being passed around unsparingly. The theme of the night was RED. The room was stunning with giant murals of famous actresses wearing red gowns and live models graced the entrance also wearing beautiful gowns. I had no idea of the theme but happened to be wearing my red jumper so fit right in.
Celebrities, fashionistas and socialites were not lacking at this event… Ed Burns (watch Sam blush as she interviews him on the red carpet), Suzanne Rogers, Chantal Kreviazuk, Jian Ghomeshi, Dean and Dan of D-Squared, the lovely Gabrielle Miller, Kreesha Turner and so many more. The event was packed and everyone was having a blast. Another thing I would like to point out is that it was extremely well organized – both for guests and red carpet media which is not always the case at these fancy affairs…
