A butter tart ice cream sandwich. Yes, we’re definitely here for something as exciting as creamy ice cream sandwiched between flaky and buttery tarts.

The bakery behind this masterpiece of a creation is Gerrard Street Bakery, located at East Chinatown. This treat in particular is a collaboration with House Scoops, which is known for their Canadian artisan gelato. Customers will be able to try the butter tart ice cream sandwiches out for themselves at the bakery starting in July and it will be priced at $10 – $12.

That’s not all. You will also be able to create-your-own ice cream sandwich with any of the House Scoops gelato flavour, with any of the tart options from Gerrard Street Bakery. Time to start thinking about which of the endless combinations to go for, right?
In addition, they has a variety of butter tarts to choose from. And for the entire month of July 1$ from every butter tart sold from Gerrard St. Bakery and Black Dog Cafe will be donated to the Native Child and Family Services of Toronto.
