If you’re a wine lover then you need to know about this event! This year, California Wines Canada launches ‘Eureka: a California Wine Discovery’(formerly known as The California Wine Fair). In May ‘Eureka’ a California wine-tasting event is coming to Toronto where you’ll have the chance to taste more than 400 wines.
This special event celebrating the Golden State is designed for wine enthusiasts to experience and discover wines from California in a whole new way. Enjoy a taste of the California lifestyle in Toronto and indulge in an opportunity to taste hundreds of wines in an innovative, refreshing and relaxed environment.
Take an exploratory trip to California Wine Country and discover the many vintners and wineries of the Golden State. Soak up the California sunshine during this educational, immersive walk-around tasting event taking place at Beanfield Centre (Exhibition Place) that will showcase more than 400 wines from 100 Wineries throughout California.

During the two-and-a-half-hour experience that takes place from 7:00 pm-9:30 pm, you can sample wines from many regions and appellations and connect live with winery representatives to learn more about what makes their wines so special. In its 42nd year, this California Grand Tasting showcases some of the finest wines from the vineyards of the Golden State.
“Eureka!” is the state motto of California, meaning “I found it!” It ties back to the gold rush when the state was founded by people looking for a better life, and today it underscores California’s inherent spirit of discovery and innovation.
Did you know that 60% of California’s 246,881 hectares of wine grapes are certified sustainable? Additional vineyards are certified organic, biodynamic, and/or regenerative and some vineyards are certified to more than one program. You should also know that 82% of California wine is made in a certified sustainable winery and over 250 certified wineries produce 258 million cases of wine.
