An app founder, a podcast and a stroller company come together to create a walk for new moms that encourages mindfulness and self-care. Toronto mamas can benefit from the walk in more ways than one. Hot Mom Walks are sweeping the city and, for the month of April, IRL groups are taking advantage–with prizes included.
About Hot Mom Walks
Every Wednesday, Hot Mom Walks pass through the Yonge and Eglinton neighbourhood, in collaboration with West Coast Kids and fitness expert Chloe Alleyne. Free tickets for the weekly event can be found online, and those who sign up for and attend the weekly gathering are automatically entered for the chance to win a CYBEX stroller of their choosing.
At the program’s kick-off, Roxy Earle, who founded the women’s health app, Ana, guided over 30 moms and shared her personal journey as a new mom and talked about the importance of both community and staying active. “The CYBEX Hot Mom Walk Series is designed to fight loneliness and help moms build community, move their bodies, and socialize with babies in tow. I had the amazing opportunity to lead over 30 people in a walk earlier this month and it was so great to take a moment to ourselves and walk out all our worries,” Earle said.

To include moms outside of the GTA, the series also offers a podcast, “a series where moms will talk about their personal stories around motherhood,” according to the press release. “New podcast episodes will drop every Thursday throughout the month of April and May from guests like Bounce Forward founder, Marlie Cohen, The Social’s Chloe Alleyne and more! The podcast will be available on Apple Podcasts and Spotify.”
Hot Mom Walks take place every Thursday, with the next events occurring on April 20 and 27. Each walk is slated to begin at West Coast Kids at 11 a.m.
