Though we’re out more with the lovely weather, we’ve actually been a li’l delinquent with our social media. That is to say, who has time to Instagrammify everything when you’ve an iced coffee in hand and are soaking up the sun, right? Still, we did manage to update a few peeps this weekend, and here’s a very short rundown of what we got up to… (Or more specifically, what I got up to. Darned quiet co-workers!)

I started Friday night off with Nicki at the media preview for Osteria dei Ganzi. This new Italian social dining experience is found in the mini-mansion that is Gooderham House, built in 1890 for none other than George Horace Gooderham. (If you’ve done any walking through the Distillery District, this name should ring a bell.)
Saturday night led to late bites at Kingyo Toronto. If you haven’t been to this exceptional izakaya, there are a few small need-to-knows… First, pretty much every dish is amazing, so be bold in your choices. Second, order the cocktail with the house-made ginger ale and grapefruit ice cubes. Third, order as much raw fish as you can handle as the quality at Kingyo is almost insurmountable.

It truly feels like a “cottagey” getaway in the city, thanks to the wooden siding and pergola offering obstructed rays. (Not to mention there are ceiling fans helping to keep you cool in the heat.) A hidden gem to be sure… but not for long…

Well our saucy Serbian may have been mostly quiet on the social media waves this weekend, but she did manage to snap this lovely pic of a Nutella pizza from Ciao Wine Bar. Seriously, everything’s better with Nutella. (If you can think of anything that doesn’t benefit from a li’l chocolatey hazelnut lovin’ I’d love to hear it.) Looks delish…
