How much would you pay for a really good cut of meat? As a hardcore carnivore I have been known to spend some serious coin in order to satisfy my craving for an excellent steak – it just makes financial foodie sense. But even I was flabbergasted when I learned of the $1,000 steak now available at Toronto staple Harbour Sixty Steakhouse. The 40oz offering is 100% Japanese purebred Miyachiku Wagyu beef; never cross-bred with any other breeds. The prestigious meat is recognized for its cherry red colour, tender texture, and dense meat flavour with an even distribution of delicate fat providing a non-greasy, melt-in-your-mouth taste experience.
Now while $1,000 may seem a tad ambitious to even the most devout caveman, the price point reflects the rarity of such a high-quality feasting experience – and at a hefty 40oz this is one that begs to be shared with a special group so that you may all reminisce about it for years to come. On that note, please excuse me as I have important plans to charm my bank manager before rallying up a group of fellow meat freaks so that I may cease this incessant drooling… now who’s with me?!
