Toronto is warming up for the summer, and what better way to beat the heat than to indulge in one of Toronto’s freshest cold-pressed juices? Seriously, take a break from all those iced cappuccinos and head on over to The Good Press, the new full-service juice bar that offers everything from smoothies, energy shots, and house-made nut milks to wraps and salads. And we have to say, their timing couldn’t be more perfect. What with swimsuit season looming in front of us, it might be a good idea to slow down on some of the less healthy summer treats and try something that’ll taste great, but also help you to look and feel your best.
Conveniently located at 87 Yorkville Avenue, The Good Press is the result of husband and wife team Leila and Andrew Ois, who took the success of their previous juice bar at Sunshine Wholesome Market to be a sign that their blends were something special. And they are: The entire menu is composed of local and organic ingredients to produce what we think may just be the best tasting juices in the city.

But if juices aren’t really your thing, The Good Press offers some interesting menu items that we’re really excited to try – emphasis on “interesting.” When was the last time you indulged in an acai puree fruit bowl with toppings like hemp seeds, granola, almond butter, and seasonal fruits? Maybe never? We understand your hesitation, but, for reals, look up The Good Press on Instagram and you’ll see why we can’t wait to check ’em out – those fruit bowls don’t look as strange as they may sound to health-sensation neophytes. One of the most sought-after ones includes bananas, coconut shavings, and strawberries. With a combination like that, the end result pretty much has to be godly. And it is: Dubbed “The Beauty Bowl,” it’s chock-full of hair and skin beautifying fats from all-natural ingredients – take that summertime humidity!
If you’re thirsting for something a little different from the usual iced coffee fix, The Good Press promises to deliver. They’ve even got an in-house nutritionist, Jeffron De Savoye, who is available for consultations by appointment to help you make informed dietary decisions. Not bad, right? We’ll definitely be keeping an eye out – The Good Press has all the makings of being everyone’s favourite juice bar in the heart of the city.
