Dust off your mimosa flutes and prepare for a delightful return! A popular Italian restaurant in the Yorkville neighbourhood is is bringing back its highly anticipated weekend brunch experience. The delicious offering returns after a brief hiatus, promising a delightful combination of delectable Italian dishes, refreshing beverages, and a vibrant atmosphere perfect for a relaxing and enjoyable weekend gathering.
The brunch menu has been curated by Executive Chef Jorge Fiestas. It spotlights Buca’s signature regional and coastal flavours, which are visible in the mix of both new and old fan favourite items. Some of new dishes that you can expect include:
- Frico: Crisp potato and fontina DOP, served with prosciutto di parma, Roots Revival arugula, fried duck egg, and salsa verde
- Strapazzate Con Bottarga: Mixed hen and duck egg, stracciatella cheese, wild Canadian salmon roe, mullet bottarga, served with focaccia
- Vitello: Milk-fed veal striploin, St.Brigid’s butter served with white asparagus and fried duck egg
- Bombolone Uova E Granchio: Savoury Italian donut, dungeness crab, poached hen egg, vine ripened cherry tomato, zabaione, and peperoncino
Buca Yorkville had first opened its doors back in 2014 and stayed open for years before it closed and reopened in 2022. There’s also a branch at King Street West that’s currently shut down for renovations. There’s also one in Midtown, and another over at Vaughan.

The menus offer a variety of Italian classics. For the returning brunch at the Yorkville outpost, there are some fan-favourites like Crespelle (Semolina pancakes, ricotta, candied orange, pistachio, topped with grappa maple syrup), and Raviolo Al Uovo (dungeness crab, mascarpone and duck egg filled squid ink pasta and topped with wild Canadian salmon roe).
Reservations for the brunch at Buca Yorkville can be made via OpenTable and SevenRooms. It’s available every Saturday and Sunday from 11:30am – 2:30pm. The restaurant is located at 53 Scollard Street.
