A new whirlwind of style is about to hit the streets of Toronto, courtesy of internationally acclaimed Milliner and Style Icon Jay Cheng. As the Founder of Jaycow Millinery, she is ready to introduce Canada to her first ready to wear collection, Block Common. Her first ever Pop Up Shop is set to launch on Thursday, September 19th and runs until Sunday the 22nd, 2019 at STACKT Market. Block Common is Jay’s distinguished version of popular common hat blocks throughout the years. Co-designed by Kyle Kofsky, Founder of Everyone Is An Artist, this collection is an elevation to the toque and fedora that is seen everywhere. I personally love their mindset and approach to designing hats.

Since the start of her career in fashion in Hong Kong over 25 years ago, Jay has been at the helm of countless editorials and runway shows. She has also created a wide range of wardrobe and styling for film, television and live performances. She began Jaycow Millinery in 2004 and has designed hundreds of bespoke pieces for numerous clients, both local and international. Her innovative Millinery creations are specifically catered to bring out each individual’s distinct personality and flair.

Each of her pieces highlights her evident respect for traditional craftsmanship. Her extraordinary talent in the millinery arts has allowed her to run run workshops and masterclasses in cities such as: Hong Kong, New York, London, Los Angeles, San Diego, Shanghai, and Toronto.
