Forget viral dance challenges – TikTok star Keith Lee is using his platform for a sweeter purpose. The influencer stopped in Toronto last month as a part of his first international food tour, visiting several dining establishments in The 6ix and the GTA. One of the spots he visited was Biscuits to Baskets, a chocolate shop in Ajax. The visit was so successful for the bakery that they experienced long lineups and sold out. However, they now have to stop operating out of their current space, a shed, and Lee has launched a fundraising campaign to help raise funds for them.

Lee explained the situation on TikTok, saying that Biscuits to Baskets was told by the town that they weren’t allowed to operate out of the shed anymore. The bakery posted on Instagram and stated that, “Due to a recent visit by the town, it has come to our attention that our back shed is not a suitable space for business as it’s separate from the main house.”
So the family-owned business either has to move operations to the main house or it has to find a new location. In his video, Lee shared that whoever is interested in donating or supporting the cause, they can do so either via Cash App (Biscuits2Baskets) or PayPal (@Biscuits2baskets).

There’s also a limited-time Keith Lee Effect Streetwear T’s drop, where all the proceeds will go towards the fund for the bakery. There are only 500 t-shirts available and presale is open online.
Lee praised the bakery in his video, saying, “Me and my family went and it was amazing, in my opinion and my family’s opinion, and also the 1,000 plus people who visited in the last month. We’re all on the same page, this business, and not only from a food perspective but from customer service [perspective], from what they stand for to the spirit of the people who work there, amazing in my opinion.”
