What’s shaping up to be the largest street art event of all time (in Canada), the second installment from the ever-successful La Carnita squad, DOS, will bring a high-profile lineup of world-renowned artists, chefs and musicians to Toronto’s Evergreen Brick Works. Imagine seeing two equally talented artists battle it out in a one-on-one match of creative majestry. Say, for example, you pinned the taco chops of Big Star in Chicago against our homegrown own La Carnita; how about you witnessed the musical wizardry of California’s DJ Platurn and Toronto’s Grandtheft scratch-battling on the turntables; or a street art slam with Sam Flores from San Fran against LA’s Joseph Martinez? Needless to say, this is gonna be one wild exposé of cultural creativity.
Last year, La Carnita’s presentation of UNO brought together a whopping crowd of over 3,000-strong, and they’re expecting an even bigger showing this time around. Tickets for the event will be going on sale on June 1st and they’re expected to go quick. Mark your calendars, get you stubs early, and prepare your mind for a whirlwind of bust-your-skull-open s*it!
