Every holiday feast deserves the perfect beverage, and for those with a taste for the alcoholic variety, LCBO likely tops your list. Beyond its regular holiday selections, LCBO is adding another layer of celebration to the season. To mark the occasion, the store is collaborating with Ontario-based artists, giving them a platform to showcase their talents for a special cause.
Celebrating the anniversary with LCBO Food & Drink covers
In honour of their 30th anniversary, the liquor corporation is commemorating the occasion with art. Four artists from Ontario were invited to reinterpret select covers from LCBO’s past Food and Drink editions.
Artist Nashid Chroma has worked on projects with major brands such as Disney+ and Adidas. His interest lies in bold colours and eccentric nature-inspired motifs.

Then there’s Jeannie Phan, a Toronto-based Vietnamese-Canadian illustrator. Her interest is mainly digital, inspired by graphite textures and layered printing styles.
Next is Laura Heaney, based in Hamilton. The themes and mediums of her work vary, but the common denominator is the blend of traditional techniques and subjects.
The fourth artist is Kayla Whitney, who is also Hamilton-based and her work is with murals.
The limited-edition LCBO Food & Drink covers can be purchased online through the site. There are six covers to choose from or you can just get them all if you can’t pick. Phan and Whitney each have done two covers instead of one.
