I have a secret…I love to dance! I grew up in the ballet world, then switched into modern jazz and then tried my hand at Broadway while living in NYC – that didn’t work out so well…Today I find it funny that I ended up eating for a living! So when I was invited to see Toronto’s Les Coquettes burlesque show, I got very excited – my two passions together in one night! And what a night it was. I invited Valerie Stachurski of www.ImCharmingYou.com to join me in indulging in some sexy Burlesque and some delicious food.
This burlesque dinner party is very well planned out: It starts with cocktails from 6-7pm, then dinner is served while guests listen to live music, in our case Tyler Yarema who was awesome, and finally the sexy Les Coquettes Burlesque dancers come out on stage and blow the crowd away (no pun intended).
One of the things that truly impressed me was the food. Chef Christopher Woods created a lovely Sunday night menu that was delicious and homey. We enjoyed roasted chicken with a gravy that tasted like your grandma made it and salmon that was cooked to perfection and flaked apart. This vlog is worth watching not only for the delicious food, but also for the sexy Les Coquettes Burlesque dancers – oh, and Val actually got pulled on stage to get her own personal dance… yes, very much worth watching. ☺
