Last week Adam and I were sitting in the office contemplating working late with a bottle of wine or going out and splurging on dinner. It’s been a long month and we’ve had a few too many 9am-10pm days. So, dinner it was – but of course, I said, “well we have to vlog so that we’re still kinda working!”. Such fun to have dinner with Miss Nicki…. 🙂 But where? The choice was difficult – SO many new places opened this year but we were in the mood for a good old Toronto staple. What’s one of my favourites? L’Unita – the food is extraordinary and the owners delightfully charming. So off we went to eat, drink and vlog.
As usual, upon entering, we could feel the warmth through the friendly faces that greeted us – I have to say, this is one of my most important ‘must haves’ at any restaurant. Make me happy as soon as I walk in and chances are I will have a great evening. And this is exactly what happened. We were sat at a cozy little table by the window and served a lovely bottle of Pinot Grigio – not usually my first choice, but since Adam and I were “fighting” about what to drink, we let the sommelier make the decision for us. It was a delight. The next 3 hours proved to be more than a delight – we feasted on a primi, a pizza, a pasta, a secondi and of course, a dolce. Full? To say the least. Satisfied? Completely.

It’s quite amazing how much we were able to eat – especially Adam, who made us order the ricotta stuffed crust pizza… Delicious but I could feel it expanding in my stomach as I ate it. My favourite? The braised beef short ribs – OMG is all I have to say. Check out the vlog and get ready to drool… L’Unita always has been and remains a fantastic Toronto restaurant.
