Former Calvin Klein model, actor extraordinaire, producer to be reckoned with, and now, burger baron. Mark Wahlberg was in town last night to help build the buzz surrounding the soon-to-open Wahlburgers in the SoHo Metropolitan Hotel. The burger joint-cum-comfort food concept is a labour of love for the man formerly known as Marky Mark and his two brothers: NKOTB alum Donnie and Chef Paul. Wahlburgers will serve up – wait for it… – burgers, as well as some other throwbacks to the Boston-based comfort food of the boys’ upbringing. (It’s done very well in the States with their first outpost that opened in 2011… here’s hoping the same can be said for the upcoming Canadian brand expansion.) We popped by the green carpet last night to snap some beefilicious pics of the slightly-smaller-than-beefcake Mark. We all eat with our eyes first anyway, right?
