With McHappy Day coming next month, McDonald’s Canada is marking the occasion in a big way. Why? Because it’s the fast food brand’s 30th McHappy Day. That’s why they’re kicking off the celebrations early by teaming up with Peace Collective, to launch a limited-edition merch collection. It features various McDonald’s characters, and a portion of the proceeds will go towards Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) Canada.
Celebrate McHappy Day in Toronto
“While the impact of our national mission is far-reaching, the need for RMHC is great and growing. Thanks to our founding and forever partner, McDonald’s, and this collaboration with Peace Collective, Canadians can make a meaningful difference for families in their community by ordering their favourite menu items on May 8 or by purchasing this limited-edition merch,” Kate Horton, RMHC Canada’s President & CEO, said in a press release statement.
How can I show my support before the big day on May 8?
You can buy items from the McDonald’s Canada and Peace Collective collection. There are tees, sweatshirts, hoodies, fanny packs, ball caps and more available online and at Peace Collective’s storefront locations in Toronto.

McHappy Day socks are also available for purchase in restaurants, at the Drive-Thru, and through the McDonald’s app. You can get the socks in one of the four McDonaldland designs for $5 + tax a pair. Or you can also buy a paper heart for $2, $5, or $10. This will go towards RMHC chapters and local children’s charities.
Over the past three decades, McHappy Day has helped raise over $92.5 million. That means that you can show your support on McHappy Day by buying any of the menu items from McDonald’s Canada. A portion of the proceeds from every purchase will go to supporting the RHMC.
