Welcome to Mini Makeover Monday! In this weekly column Bianca Teixeira, our new makeover maven, will find, test and report back on an assortment of small changes that can be made to your daily beauty and style routine that can dramatically change your look. Let us know if you try any of her suggestions and what kind of effect it had on you!
Today’s mini makeover is all about white eyeliner. Of course, (boring) black and brown eyeliners are preferred by most because they up the eye drama and make lashes seem more lusciously plump. However, if you have eyes that are on the smaller side, black liner will shrink them even more.

One of the first times I noticed how fabulous white eyeliner is was on Carrie Bradshaw. She wore it for a few consecutive episodes and it brightened her face, opened her eyes, and made her baby blues look like the sky on a gorgeous day. I knew right then that I would have to try it!

I like Sephora’s Nano Eyeliner in Pure White. It’s a stark shade with a fabulous waxy texture that allows you to get a bolder look the harder you press down. Over the years, I’ve noticed that my eyelids are getting slightly darker. If you’re anything like me with my shaded-by-nature lids, you’re looking for any product to bring some brightness to your eyes.
Introducing white eyeliner into your rotation is going to give you a big change with minimal effort and drastically amp up your look. See below…

The best part about using white eyeliner instead of black is that you don’t have to use a lot to get the look you want. Used in a multitude of ways, you can get numerous looks out of the one product.
Here are a few tips on how to wear white eyeliner…
– Only in the corners: Drawing tiny Cs on the inside corners of your eyes is the perfect makeup trick for an early morning. This teeny, tiny switch will make you look more awake than you ever have.
– Layered with colours: A thick stripe of white liner with a thin line of bright blue liner above will be the most dramatic thing you’ve done to your face in months. For something still eye-catching, layer the white with black liquid liner. Very mod.
Sephora’s Nano Eyeliner is sold exclusively at Sephora in-store and online for $8.00.
