Last week I had the great pleasure of visiting the beautiful Greek island of Mykonos – what a stunning island. Constant sunshine, aqua blue waters, striking blue and white architecture and my personal favourite, the spectacular beaches. Every chance I had, I was floating in the salty Aegean Sea waters. Now as great as that is for your skin, it isn’t as great for your hair…. So luckily, just before I left, I picked up the Moroccanoil Travel Kit, which is customizable, but mine included the repair shampoo, conditioner, treatment and luminescent hairspray.

The travel pack is perfect for a 10-day vacation. It’s small and there’s just enough of everything to keep your hair shiny and soft. My hair is coarse and fuzzy so doing the treatment every 2nd day after the beach was ideal to keep me away from having a bad afro. The hairspray also came in handy because again, after the beach and seawater get into your roots, you definitely want to stay away from the hairspray. But because the Moroccanoil hairspray is filled with antioxidant rich argan oil, it nourishes your hair while also keeping it in place. I now need to buy the big version for home use. Similar to this, the shampoo and conditioner leave your hair feeling soft and smooth and any sign of coarseness from the seawater is gone.
If you’re going south and need to keep your hair fuzz free and looking luminescent, pick up the Moroccanoil Travel Kit – it’s absolutely worth the money because really, nobody wants bad hair when on a beach vacation.
