In the past year, my nails have been breaking, chipping, getting thinner, and overall just looking pretty damaged. Thinking this is part of the beauties of aging and with my schedule, my nails are literally the last thing on my mind. The odd times I get manicures the little Asian lady comments and says I need to use nail restorer and protector – I have never listened. So, last Saturday I decided to give it a go and do my own manicure. What I learned from this experience is that I suck at giving myself manicures. After applying the keratin treatment, I of course chose to use the bright red colour and got it all over my fingers, the counter and my clothes – my boyfriend even promised to buy me monthly manicures so that I never attempted to do my own again. However, less than one week later, my nails have grown, they’re harder and not splitting. This product actually works!
