As we draw nearer and nearer to the start of TIFF, the air in Toronto is almost crackling with the excitement for beautiful people, fabulous flicks, and only the best parties to come pouring into the city. For media people, this is equal parts Christmas-in-September and hell-on-Earth as we once again prepare for long hours in the office, endless minutes standing in heels, and making sure every precious second counts. To loosen everyone up before the festivities of 2013 start, NKPR gave us a night of indulgences with the Cocktail Countdown Presented by SKYY Vodka at the Spoke Club.
The evening, hosted mercifully two weeks before the start of the festival, could not have been any more fun or fabulous. On hand were the delicious SKYY Vodka official TIFF cocktails (including the Grapefruit Garner, Spicy Scarlett and, our personal favourite, Adam’s Apple) inspired by celebs Jennifer Garner, ScarJo, and Adam Levine, and nibbles including donuts from Jelly Modern Doughnuts, the Spoke Club’s own risotto, and grab baggies of super yummy candied popcorn. Coupled with good company, impeccably dressed guests, and a view of the Toronto skyline that would make the CN Tower envious, it was the perfect way to unwind and relax before the red carpets are rolled out. A+
