Toronto’s iconic sandwich spot, The Original San Francesco, has updated their menu for the first time since opening their doors almost 70 years ago. Located in the heart of Little Italy, this family owned sandwich shop is known for being the first to offer veal sandwiches in the GTA.
The menu includes a bunch of delicious new sandwich options to choose from outside of the ones we know and love. San Fran’s Roast Pork, The Melanzana, and the Spicy Bomba Fried Chicken are just a few of the new items now available. Original San Francesco also added three new pizzas to their menu.
The VIBE team had the opportunity to experience the new menu and we were NOT disappointed. Our favourite: the Spicy Bomba Fried Chicken Sandwich with a side of Garlic Parm Fries. We also tried the OG Veal Sandwich. We had to make sure it is still the best veal sandwich in The 6ix… it is.

The Original San Francesco refuses compromise with the quality of their ingredients, even with the new menu additions. Their sandwiches are stuffed full of fresh meat and veggies, melted cheese, and house-made marinara sauce. And really, what more could you want out of a sandwich?
Since opening in the early 1950s, San Francesco has expanded to four locations across the GTA that feed their guests as if they were family. The shop’s goal hasn’t changed over the years, striving to provide Toronto with hearty food at a fair price. It is pretty clear that this family is great at what they do. They’ve dominated the Italian sandwich game in Toronto for almost 70 years and counting.
The Original San Francesco is open for pickup at all locations. They are also available on UberEats, Skip the Dishes, Door Dash and Ritual.
