We might not write about every little thing that makes a splash on the pop culture radar, but that doesn’t mean we’re not talking about it. That’s why each Friday Vv Magazine’s editors round up the stuff we loved, hated, debated and obsessed in OVER/UNDER-RATED.
Under-rated: Tina Fey’s #lastdressever on Letterman
Tina Fey is leading battle in the surprisingly hilarious war on gender roles. After her role in Amy Schumer’s sketch “Last Fuckable Day,” she took that idea one step further on her final visit to David Letterman. It was impossible not to think of iconic moments from the show’s history, namely Drew Barrymore’s topless strip tease for Dave, as Fey – just before stripping down to Spanx with a #lastdressever hashtag – said, “This is my last time wearing a dress on a talk show and conforming to gender norms out of respect for you.” Watch and love.

Over-rated: Ontario parents protesting the new sex-ed curriculum
Their creepy chant – “Our children, our choice” – doesn’t seem to be convincing anyone on the fence to join their side.
As much as we’d love to remind these parents of a wonderful thing called Google, we wish someone would give them what they really need: a reality show. Think about it! We could have Canada’s answer to Duck Dynasty and Here Comes Honey Boo Boo.
Under-rated: Amal bought George Clooney a birthday Porsche
Let’s stop questioning whether Amal wears the pants, or if George is the new trophy husband, or if fashion questions are suitable for an international human rights lawyer. It’s not about what Amal is or isn’t in terms of gender roles. Guys, Amal is Groot. Think about it.

Over-rated: Amber Rose Says Travi$ Scott Ghostwrites Kanye’s Music
Amber, your best slam against Kanye West and the Kardashian klan was when you made this actually fucking clever music video with Amy Schumer, which calls in to question the power of the male gaze for the MTV generation.
Under-rated: The launch of The Vice Guide to Mental Health
Originally just intended for a UK run, Vice Media’s week-long mental health series (in partnership with charity Mind), which launched April 28, became a global project, spanning 15 territories and six languages with local content commissioned by each Vice division. Take note #BellLetsTalk: this is how we keep talking about mental health, an issue that Vv Magazine’s Jessica Vomiero explored in her February 2015 story “Let’s Keep Talking About Mental Health.”
Over-rated: Joss Whedon quit Twitter
Was it because he was bullied over Black Widow? Does he want to focus on writing? Or is it kinda like how we stopped going to the gym?
Under-rated: Scottish National Party’s landslide win
We usually follow British politics about as closely as we follow their dental hygiene regime (meaning: not), but we couldn’t help but tune in to watch Scotland’s separatist party cream the competition in Scotland.

See, Parti Quebecois? You just weren’t trying hard enough.
Over-rated: Kylie’s Plumped Lips
Pfft, called it.
Khloe may have let the truth slip on Keeping Up With The Kardashians, but we already knew it. Her wording around never going “under the knife” was a dead giveaway.
