There are very few things that I enjoy quite as much as I do a really great mani/pedi. Having your nails done properly makes you feel put together even when you’re sporting sweats and flip-flops; great nails are powerful like that.
At The 10 Spot, no detail is overlooked because every detail has been considered. You’ll be treated to a steaming cup of coffee while a skilled esthetics expert massages your skin with Get Nailed Whipped Body Butter and Foaming Body Buffer prior to even starting on your toes. The Spiced Pearfection smelled like warm pears on a hot summer’s day, and made me grateful that sunshine and spring has finally arrived in Toronto.

The staff at The 10 Spot were friendly, smart and well trained; instead of finding myself immediately wondering if it would be rude if I put my headphones on while a stranger rubbed my feet, I spent the whole appointment chatting with the lovely Charise. After our gab, I’ve come to the conclusion that the hottest colours for spring in the city are the super bright brights and the pale pastel beauties; so I mixed it up and asked for the Get Nailed version of coral on my toes and a pale Tiffany blue on my fingers. The result was a beautiful combination that felt trendy and spring-like.
Before I left the salon, Charise coated my toes in Vaseline and wrapped them in plastic wrap so I wouldn’t ruin them on the walk back to work – I didn’t even know that was a thing before she did it, but apparently our toes can be tricky and if you wrap them first they won’t smudge at all. It’s that kind of knowledge and expertise that will keep me going back to The 10 Spot, where they also have discounted monthly upkeep pricing for the gal who likes a manicure or any other spa service on a regular basis.
Now that it’s finally warm enough to wear flip-flops and sandals again, I suggest you head over to one of the five The 10 Spot locations in Toronto and get nailed. You’ll feel like a brand new girl and you’ll immediately want to put those gorgeous winter boots back in the closet where they belong.
