Family owned Italian pizzeria, Via Mercanti, has a second Downtown location on Elm Street (the original being in Kensington) where patrons indulge in some of the city’s best pizzas and Italian fare.
Owner and chef, Romolo Salvati, originates from Salerno, Italy, and brings enthusiasm as well as many years of experience in restaurants from southern Italy. Keeping it simple, like the old days, is the key ingredient in their superb Neapolitan pizza. From simple Neopolitan slices to a variety of fantastic ‘Pizze Bianche’s’ you can count on Via Mercanti to satisfy the biggest of Italian cravings. Oh and their patio during the summer months is the perfect excuse to get out of work early to sip on some limoncello!
