It feels like a return to the 70s and 80s, in the heyday of flying and flight attendants, thanks to a new program launched by a Canadian airline. As a part of an all-new flying experience, Porter Airlines is debuting an all-new food and beverage program on February 1, and travellers on the airline will be able to sip on curated ready-made cocktails on their way to destinations across the continent.
About Porter Airlines’ cocktail program
On February 1, Porter Airlines‘ partnership with Alberta cocktail company Tumbler & Rocks will take flight, offering “ready-made cocktails on long haul flights as part of Porter’s elevated economy experience,” according to a press release. “Porter is the only airline in Canada that now offers ready-made cocktails.”
The experience comes as a part of a brand-new flying experience aboard Porter Airlines. “Premium craft cocktails are available to all passengers on longer flights,” said Kevin Jackson, executive vice president and chief commercial officer, of Porter Airlines. “They are included with PorterReserve, a new, all-inclusive economy experience. They are also available for purchase with PorterClassic tickets.”

The menu includes 100ml servings of Tumbler & Rocks’ three most popular, ready-made cocktails: the Old-Fashioned, Martini, and the Margarita. “We are thrilled to be partnering with Porter Airlines and bringing our craft cocktails to travellers,” said Nathan Flim, CEO of Tumbler & Rocks. “This is a huge step for our company and we are excited to share our unique blend of premium ingredients and bold flavours with a wider audience. Partnering with a well-established brand like Porter marks a significant step in our journey as a brand.”
PorterReserve seats include extra legroom and offer a free healthy meal, snacks, premium wine, and liquor for those who purchase the ticket fare. PorterClassic tickets include options for extra legroom, but with the more standard flying experience food and drinks are available for purchase.
