Save the date! October 16 marks the Canadian Opera Company’s 11th annual Operanation: Light Up The Night. As the city’s premier fundraiser for the arts and opera, the event aims to bring Torontonians together for a 90s-themed party filled with music, art, and fashion at the Four Seasons Centre for Performing Art.
This year, the night will include a spectacular performance by French dance-pop sensation, Yelle, who will be performing songs from their latest album, Complètement fou, as well as a few collaboration pieces with the COC. Along with fabulous musical performances, guests will also be privy to a flash mob that will move throughout the venue across all floors. Pretty cool, right?

Paying homage to the event’s 90s-inspired theme, the COC has teamed up with designers Chloe and Parris Gordon (BEAUFILLE), Sarah Stevenson (Sarah Stevenson Design), and Kaelen Haworth (KAELEN) to create a series of funky slap-bracelets, which will ‘light up the night’ and act as raffle tickets with some incredible prizes.
The featured drink of the night was chosen by a select few (including the team here at View the Vibe), so you can be sure it’ll be a tastebud pleaser. Made with LOT40 Canadian Rye Whisky, Pike Creek Canadian Whisky, cinnamon, clove, and aromatic bitters, the La Fiesta De Otono (Fall Fiesta) will most definitely be a treat for both whisky lovers and even non-whisky lovers! Just sweet enough, this cocktail is far too easy too drink… just a heads up!
Operanation has long been one of Toronto’s most fabulous events and this year promises to not disappoint yet again.
