Bobby Flay’s Toronto takeover at Susur Lee’s Fring’s
Juice factor: 8/10
Toronto restaurant Fring’s, owned by hometown culinary hero Susur Lee and rumoured resto partner Drake, has already established itself as home away from Hollywood. Stars like Jaden Smith, Rihanna and Serena Williams have already turned up at the Toronto hotspot while touching down north of the border. Now, Food Network superstar Bobby Flay is putting Fring’s on the map for different reasons, taking on the role of guest chef for a six-course tasting menu event. The long-time friend of Susur apparently liked the idea of teaming up with his old Iron Chef bud to partake in the city’s growing reputation as world-renowned foodie destination.

All hail Winnie Harlow
Juice factor: 7/10
While the world wonders what exactly Beyonce meant by releasing “Lemonade,” Toronto’s own Winnie Harlow can gloat in her post-America’s Next Model fame. The stunning homegrown beauty was selected to star in Bey’s already epic, hour-long video, making her another Canadian star to be featured in the film, alongside Scarborough native The Weeknd.

Toronto’s Eataly not going ahead as planned?
Juice factor: 8/10
BuzzBuzzHome News claims to have an anonymous source with dirt on Mario Batali’s Eataly. The source says the opening of the long-planned Toronto location might not come to fruition as easily as once anticipated. According to the site’s source, the Bloor Street Diner – already a culinary destination in the Manulife Centre – has exclusive rights to run a restaurant within the shopping mall. Apparently, in an attempt to move forward with Eataly’s plans, the Manulife Centre has filed an injunction, despite the Bloor Street Diner’s pre-existing right to restaurant exclusivity.
Leo’s ex moves on…

Leo still stirring up romance rumours
Juice factor: 7/10
Are they or aren’t they? Leo and Rihanna have been keeping us all guessing about their alleged romance for quite some time. The two were most recently spotted together at Coachella–both wearing sunglasses to seemingly downplay their public outing. The 41-year-old Oscar winner might be best known for preferring the company of blondes – provided they’re supermodels – but his ongoing flirtations with the 28-year-old top-charter from Barbados have us wondering if Leo is singing a different tune these days. With awards season finally over and Leo now officially king of the world, at least by Academy Award standards, only time will tell if he spends more quality down-time this summer getting more acquainted with the “Work” singer.
