Many of Toronto’s most high-profile and self-congratulating marketing firms have had their feathers quite ruffled up after Marketing Magazine released their annual Agencies of the Year 2015 shortlist and none of the usual suspects made it into the nominees’ limelight. The list of the magazine’s best of the best was released on December 17 and–much to the dismay of firms that tend to take to social media to toot their own horns–many of the regular ol’ who’s who were nowhere to be found. Blind item: From celebration to devastation

This high-profile Canadian media event has been taking up space in papers and online publications alike for quite some time and finally came to an abrupt end last week… but not before completely blindsiding one half of the butting heads–who were all set to pop champagne, assuming the final outcome would be in their favour.
Gavin Rossdale returns to social media

Gwen Stefani’s scorned ex-husband Gavin Rossdale is back on social media after taking a two-month break from the social media world after his cheating scandal went viral. “The @Seahawks win! Photo by @murphyjensen,” tweeted the Bush frontman on Sunday, along with a photo of himself and three friends at the CenturyLink Field stadium in Seattle. Although one of the friends in question–the only female of the bunch–is a young blonde, she’s not Mindy Mann, the former nanny of the Rossdale-Stefani household with whom Gavin reportedly had an over three-year affair.

Gavin’s return to social media coincidentally comes at a time when his ex Gwen Stefani can’t seem to get enough of flaunting her hot new romance over every online platform available. The night before Gavin’s return to Instagram, Gwen was heating up the twitter world with new beau Blake Shelton. The couple, who got cozy while filming The Voice together, are still going strong after the latest season wrapped up production last week. The ska and country crossed lovers left Gwen’s home state of Cali to hit Blake’s turf in Nashville for singer RaeLynn’s engagement party in Nashville on December 19. Blake co-hosted the engagement party, which has fans of the Shelton-Stefani whirlwind romance wondering if the country crooner will pop the question to his new leading lady in the near future. Given their apparent joint love of the Christmas holiday, as evidenced by this viral photo, we can’t help but wonder if Gwen will receive a sparkly present under the tree…
Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner spending Christmas together?

2015 may have been a year defined by scandalous affairs with nannies that led to high-profile divorces, at least as far as Hollywood is concerned, but Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner are proof that even the most deceitful and hurtful homewrecking love affairs can end in a happily ever after conscious uncoupling. The two A-listers are apparently spending Christmas together, even after Affleck’s alleged affair with their former nanny, Christine Ouzounian. The former couple are apparently reuniting for the holidays for the sake of their three children, Violet (age 10), Seraphina (age 6), and Samuel (age 3). We’d like to think we could be as forgiving and forward-thinking as Jennifer, especially during the Christmas season, but we have major doubts our inner Scrooge could pull it off.

Blind item: Canadian TV star threatened by younger replacement

This Canadian TV personality and sometimes stage actress loves the spotlight and the constant recognition by fans wherever she happens to go; one of the perks to staying in Canada and not trying to make it stateside. Despite her star factor on home-turf, she’s not exactly what producers would call a spring chicken. Although she felt relatively safe in the limelight up until recent months, a less famous but ultimately much younger Canadian TV starlet is vying to take a piece of her limelight (read: completely replace her). Although the two have yet to fuel a public feud, tension is definitely heating up and is quite apparent to those in the know of friction and potential dethroning of the older and currently more famous star.
