Justin Bieber’s dad throws world’s saddest engagement party
Juice factor: 7/10
Jeremy Bieber, more famously known as Justin Bieber’s dad, isn’t shy to peculiar behaviour. First, he played partner-in-crime to JB’s infamous drag race, then he proudly (and inappropriately) called out his son’s junk on Twitter, and now he can add orchestrator of the world’s saddest (and strangest) engagement party to the list. Complete with zoo animals, F-list superhero impersonators, a red carpet and a cake topped with a Playboy Bunny logo, it’s safe to say JB numero uno has reached maximum douche levels – even his son looked unimpressed. While the entire event spurs the question, “why?”, what we’re really wondering is how Jeremy Bieber paid for this… especially since his son is footing his rent bills.

Blind Item: Another magazine editor calls it quits and for good reason
Juice factor: 8/10
After long deliberation, the assistant editor at a Canadian lifestyle magazine is leaving the publication. The reason why? Apparently the magazine, and the parent company, has commitment issues. They refused to put said editor on payroll and skimped on overtime pay, all the while offering less than liveable hourly pay. While it may come as a shock to some, we’re not surprised. In fact, we’ve heard many of the same complaints from multiple sources. Word to the weary: being a Magazine editor in Canada isn’t as glamorous as it sounds.
Drake surprises the 6ix with a secret album launch party
Juice factor: 6/10
In case you live under a rock or missed it in your Instagram feed, Drake and his OVO crew recently threw a secret VIEWS launch party at La Vie Complex in the Toronto. The party turned out to be not-so-exclusive, as a lineup of fans formed down the block. Drake showed up surprisingly early at midnight and performed live on the main floor around 2am. Later he was joined by Justin Bieber, who definitely looked like he was having more fun than at his dad’s engagement party. Keep it up Drizzy, we definitely like how things are getting hot up in the 6ix right now.
Blind Item: Toronto menswear store owner dubbed serial pen pal creep
Juice factor: 5/10
Surprise, surprise, the owner of a popular online menswear store is a huge creep. Sources say, this fella has struck up pen pal status with multiple women across Toronto. The surprising thing is, his text messages are far from dirty and closer to desperate pleas for acknowledgment (re: why are you ignoring me). Even weirder, his interest in actually meeting up with these women is non-existent. Regardless, he better be careful about the next person he texts – word gets around and his stalker-like behaviour is sure to be exposed.
Rita Ora is definitely not ‘Becky with the good hair’
Juice factor: 8/10
By now, you’ve already listened to Lemonade and you’ve already gone through the motions of trying to figure out who ‘Becky with the good hair’ is. Beyonce’s BeyHive unleashed their wrath by verbally abusing supposed Jay-Z mistress, Rachel Roy and sadly, Rachel Ray (but she could use the publicity, right?). Rita Ora, who is currently trying to get out of her contract with Jay-Z’s record label Roc Nation, was naturally next on the list for the BeyHive to sting. Fortunately, the air was cleared after the above selfie of Bey and Ora was snapped, confirming that Ora is definitely not ‘Becky with the good hair’.
