As much as we love gossip, having a daily social media news feed full of the latest in blogger-versus-blogger throw-downs (which can be summed up as: “You’re a dick” “No, you’re the dick”) does not a proper walk-off make. Does anyone even know the reason why World MasterCard Fashion Week exists at all? It’s not about who looks better, who’s bitchier, and who has more purchased followers. Toronto’s fashion week is a business — not a battleground for bloggers who only hate-tweet about it and each other.

Mark our words: the ready-to-wear and accessories line, aptly called Hillier Bartley, will be the future of androgyny. Of the upcoming brand’s ideal woman, Bartley said, “Its ultimate heroine lies somewhere between Ian McCulloch and Katharine Hepburn.” We think that says it all.
