Unless you answer to the name “Helen Keller” or have been otherwise living under some sort of cultural rock, chances are you’ve noticed that this year white is tight. Doubtlessly to the benefit of Oxi Clean and Tide-To-Go vendors across the western hemisphere, a monochromatic absence of colour and shade hasn’t been this popular since turn of the century pop music (Exhibit A: THIS Britney Spears video) or Miami Vice. However, it’s also coming that time of year when most rule-abiding fashion evangelicals would say it’s time to pack up the whites and hide them away until spring. To this we say: Booooring.
Wearing white after Labour Day has never been trendier. Quite frankly, anybody with good style and an adventurous spirit already knows that fashion rules like these were made to be broken. That said, this is not an episode of Touched By an Angel and it has to be done right. Here are some ways you can rock the 2014 white trend past Labour Day and well into autumn and winter this year.
