Sexy Food = Sexy Body. Did you know? Well I didn’t – and I EAT for a living…. This can get a little stressful when the jeans don’t fit and summer is around the corner! As a result, when I am home, I have always been the girl that buys “non-fat cheese”, PAM instead of olive oil, never touches avocado or nuts – generally this meant salad (with no oil) and grilled shrimp for dinner… For someone who LOVES food, this sucks!
Then along came Ms. Melissa Ramos, Nutritionist and Chinese Medicine practitioner who believes that FAT is GOOD for you. Hallelujah!!! Her site, www.SexyFoodTherapy.com teaches women that you CAN enjoy food and lose weight. Her influence now gets me to the health food store on a weekly basis where I buy oils, nuts, tahini, almond butter, kale chips – everything I have always loved but never kept in the house – until now.
I am regularly asked, “How do you maintain your weight when you review restaurants for a living?” So I decided to do a vlog on what I eat at home and how it has changed since discovering Sexy Food Therapy. I also added a section to the View the Vibe site called “Nicki’s Favourites” – this includes recipes I cook at home when I’m not out eating in Toronto’s best restaurants.
