If you’ve travelled to the U.S. you’ve most likely heard about Shake Shack. The American fast casual restaurant chain was established in the early 2000s and has grown into one of the most popular burger chains. The burger chain is officially entering the Canadian market, by partnering with Osmington Inc. and Harlo Entertainment Inc.
About Shake Shack in Toronto
Both companies are private investment organisations based in Toronto. That means the chain will have a home right here in the city. According to the press release, the teams aim to have 35 locations in Canada by 2035. The flagship location in Toronto is coming in 2024.
“We have been eyeing this incredible opportunity in Canada for quite some time and are elated to have found exceptional partners to serve Shack classics and bespoke Canada-exclusive items to our sophisticated neighbours to the north,” Michael Kark, Chief Global Licensing Officer of Shake Shack, said in a press release statement.

It’s not the first time the NYC-based burger chain made an appearance in the city. In 2017, they had a pop-up location in the city. The menu for the Shake Shack in Toronto location will have a variety of the chain’s dishes. This includes the ShackBurger, Chicken Shack, crinkle-cut fries, and frozen custard.
