If your idea of eye candy involves sleek toasters and vintage-inspired appliances, you’re going to want to keep reading. SMEG, the beloved Italian appliance brand known for turning everyday essentials into timeless design pieces, is officially setting up shop in Canada. And not just anywhere: they’re opening their very first Canadian showroom in Toronto’s luxe Bloor-Yorkville district. Think espresso machines, statement toasters, and jaw-dropping kitchen displays, all under one ultra-stylish roof. However, don’t expect a typical appliance store—this space is designed to be both immersive and Instagram-worthy.
Located at 2 Bloor Street West, the new 2,900-square-foot SMEG flagship will offer a full sensory experience. On the main floor, visitors will find a vibrant retail space featuring the brand’s complete line of domestic and professional appliances, from their iconic FAB fridges to sleek cooktops and kettles. Upstairs, there will be a fully equipped live kitchen that will host intimate culinary events and interactive masterclasses led by industry pros. Whether you’re a home chef or a design enthusiast, it’s the kind of space that invites you to not just shop, but experience.
And for the first time ever, SMEG is launching an on-site café, a global first for the brand. This stylish coffee spot will serve up artisanal beverages in a space that channels Italy’s café culture with a Yorkville twist.

“We are thrilled to bring the first SMEG showroom to Canada, creating a space where design, innovation and Italian craftsmanship come to life,” said Gisela Mussen, General Manager of SMEG Canada. “This showroom marks a milestone for our expansion in Canada, and we look forward to connecting with the local community through curated experiences that celebrate our passion for innovation and quality. Yorkville’s vibrant and sophisticated atmosphere makes it the perfect home for our first Canadian showroom.”
The brand is known for turning everyday kitchen essentials into coveted style pieces. Over the years, SMEG has teamed up with cultural powerhouses like Dolce & Gabbana, SUPREME, Veuve Clicquot, Disney, and even OVO, proving that appliances can be bold, beautiful, and collectible.

The showroom officially opens in Summer 2025, with ongoing programming that includes coffee workshops, chef-led demos, and exclusive product showcases.
And Toronto’s just the beginning, a second Canadian showroom is already in the works for Vancouver.
