Dining in Toronto is always exciting but it becomes especially interesting when there’s a celeb appearance. Imagine you’re sitting on a patio, enjoying some drinks and a few bites with your friends when Drew Barrymore walks in! Well, guests at Fat Pasha didn’t have to use their imagination because Barrymore stopped by for dinner last week at the restaurant. Roasted cauliflower must taste even better when Drew Barrymore is in your presence, right?
Drew Barrymore visits Fat Pasha
Drew Barrymore is the latest addition to celebs spotted dining at Toronto restaurants. Last week, the star was seen surprising staff and guests at the city’s beloved Fat Pasha. The Middle Eastern and European Jewish spot, located at 414 Dupont Street is a local favourite, so it’s no wonder Barrymore had it on her list of places to check out in the city.
Known for its country-chic décor and amazing bites like its falafel, shawarma and baba ghanoush, Drew apparently indulged in mostly vegetarian dishes, including the whole roasted cauliflower.

According to chef and owner, Anthony Rose, the team had no idea Drew was going to make an appearance! He also posted about her visit on Instagram noting that he and Drew almost dated!
“Most of you don’t know this but @drewbarrymore and I almost dated a few years ago. When I say “Almost Dated” I mean that I liked her on RAYA and she never liked me back, so I’m still waiting. So we actually never dated at all. Like not even close. But here she is stalking me @schmaltzappetizing and @fatpasha and then @schmaltzappetizing again. I would absolutely do the same thing. I’m weird as fuck. Hilarious and charming and beautiful and sincere and with deep insecurity and abandonment and avoidance issues but sweet and gorgeous nonetheless. Anyhoo, what a sweet pleasure to feed Drew and her crew and they were such fun and kindness Tony’s and the whole team. Stay Prayed Up.”
Barrymore also visited Rose’s Schmaltz Appetizing on Sunday, which is located just behind Fat Pasha and specializes in bagels with cream cheese, smoked fish, and caviar. Maybe their romance is just starting to bloom over Rose’s special touch in the kitchen.
