For those at the celebrations, Toronto’s NHL All-Star Weekend will be remembered for one famous face who was front and centre – and he’s not even a hockey player (at least, not a professional one). We’re talking about homegrown superstar Justin Bieber, who popped up all over town, even treating party guests to live performances – his first in two years. His famed model and entrepreneur wife Hailey Bieber was also in town for the celebrations. Bieber was a celebrity caption for the weekend’s affairs, joining fellow famous Canadian faces Michael Bublé, Will Arnett, and Tate McRae with that title.
So, where do the Biebers and their famous friends dine in Toronto? On Saturday night, the superstar couple was joined by Canadian singer/songwriter Tate McRae (who performed at the All-Star half-time show) and Australian rapper The Kid Laroi, for dinner at Alobar.
The beloved Yorkville spot by Toronto’s famed chef Patrick Kriss and is nestled in a Yorkville laneway and is seen as a more casual option to Kriss’s fine fining, prix fix Alo Restaurant. The common denominator between the two includes Michelin stars, sophisticated comfort, and some of the most celebrated food in the city. If you can score a reservation at the celeb-approved spot, beloved go-tos include things like chilled lobster with lime aioli and avocado, braised short rib with maitake mushroom, and grilled sea brim, and current features like sea scallops with Kaluga caviar.

Justin was first to leave post-meal and was inevitably met with a flash of cameras. Seemingly in decent spirits, he flashed a double thumbs up as he walked by the photo-snappers. If he wanted to be inconspicuous, his massively oversized red wool coat with huge light-pink polka dots suggested otherwise. He paired the coat with jeans and a black Balenciaga cap. Surrounded by bodyguards, he made his way to a waiting black SUV on Cumberland. He appears to ask where Hailey is before entering the SUV.
McRae and The Kid Laroi (who are rumoured to be dating) followed, before Hailey stepped out of the restaurant solo (aside from her bodyguards), dressed in a fur jacket, baggy grey pants, and runners. Naturally, her blowout and makeup were flawless.
Footage from @theyoungpaps shows Bieber emerging from Old York Lane (meaning, his SUV must have only driven a very short distance on Cumberland), crossing Yorkville Avenue, and heading toward The Hazelton Hotel.
The same account shows footage taken the next day of Justin and Hailey exiting the hotel — but not before Justin stopped to take a photo with a young fan — and enter a waiting van to take them to the airport after the jam-packed weekend.
