More specifically, he’s known for critiquing Western chefs’ cooking techniques for traditional fried rice. Any guesses? If you thought Uncle Roger then you’re right. Currently, on his Haiyaa World Tour, he was recently seen at a beloved Thai restaurant in the city.

The London-based Malaysian internet celebrity surprised the staff at Kiin, located at 326 Adelaide Street West. According to the Instagram post shared by the team at Pai (both restaurants by Chef Nuit Regular), it said, “@mrnigelng (uncle Roger) paid us a visit @kiintoronto. Needless to say, we are all fans!”
Uncle Roger, whose real name is Nigel Ng Kin-ju, became an internet sensation, following his food review videos. You can find many of his videos on his Youtube channel, where he criticizes Jamie Oliver’s versions of different Asian dishes.
